In 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, everyone was asked to isolate and stay home, but as doctors, we continued to work as we treated COVID patients. It was while working in the hospitals that I realized how lonely it has become to be sick and sick alone because hospitals were not allowing visitors. So for my birthday that year, I did a tablet drive with the goal to donate 100 tablets to the three hospitals I work at. I posted on social media and WGN's Tonya Francisco reached out to me and asked if I would like to guest on their show to get my cause out there. And so many people responded and I got a total of 95 tablets from all over the US, and these were distributed to St. Mary's Medical Center, Humbolt Park Health and Thorek Memorial Hospital and these were lent to patients who were admitted and couldn't see their loved ones in real life.

WGN Weekend Morning News interview with Sean Lewis as I once again asked for help in spreading the holiday cheer. I asked for holiday cards to give to patients in the hospitals and nursing homes I work at and talked about YP Streeterville's holiday toy drive as well. The response to both after this segment was incredible - I received enough cards to last me for 3 holiday seasons and YPS donated several bags of toys to Catholic Charities.
